CCT Shipping Frames, LLC is proud to announce the addition of Stuart Thomson to their organization as the Senior Director of Railroad Sales. Mr. Thomson brings a depth of railroad experience to CCT. Over his career he has worked for two major railroads (C&NW and CSX), two leasing companies, two railcar repair companies, and two freight forwarding companies. In his most recent employment, he worked for the Holland Company in multiple positions including: marketing, sales, forecasting, product development and product management. Over his 23 years at Holland, Stuart Thomson developed seventeen patents for new products, such as, load securement devices and damage prevention products. Mr. Thomson’s vast experience puts him in an excellent position to head up railroad sales for the CCT shipping frames, which reduce loading time, secure fragile loads and prevent damage. Stuart Thomson holds multiple degrees: BS in Marketing from Central Michigan University, MBA from Northern Illinois University, ICC Law Degree from the College of Advanced Traffic and an Associate Degree in Railroad and Railway Transportation from the College of Advanced Traffic. Mr. Thomson is a long time member of several railroad organizations. He has served as a Deacon at the Presbyterian Church in Downers Grove and volunteers at the homeless shelter. He is an avid music lover, enjoys fine dining and travel. Not retiring completely, Mr. Thomson formed a consulting company called Thomson Rail And INtermodal Solutions (TRAINS). It provides professional recommendations to companies on a multitude of topics, technical research on rail equipment, historical research for railcar books, new product ideas, etc. |
